London Travel Guide

Hello everybody. And welcome to attache the show that gets you in out. And around some of the world’s greatest cities my name is Alex hunter. And I’ll be your Sherpa on this international adventure. And we start our journey here today in London Engl. And. So know what you’re thinking Alex are you a little old to be a youtuber all through those of you that doubt my ability to participate in the YouTube generation I say this to you Yolo isn’t that what they say YouTube just Yolo isn’t that what they say seriously it’s like they spent the last five years making up words I don’t even know what they about anymore chances are if you travel for business you’ve been either through or to London it’s a global financial capital. And a major transit hub for those people getting into Europe London has six count’em six international airports but some of them are. So far outside of the city. And might as well be in China. So we’re going to focus on the two big Bulls Gatwick to the south.

And Heathrow to the west both airports are big ugly. And located a long way out of town. So it’s really important to plan your transfer wisely but let me tell you this right now do not take a taxi got that write that down Heathrow is miles outside of town Gatwick is a whopping miles outside of town. And unlike cities like New York where there’s a stet fare from the airport into town London doesn’t have that. So it can end up costing you a lot of money the good news is there’s cheaper.

And faster options to get into the city he throws connected to central London by the tube a regular train service in an express train service the underground the tube is great but it’s really slow over an hour to get into town the Express service is fast only minutes but it is absurdly expensive your best bet is the you throw connect only slightly slower than the Express service but over half the cost they both leave from the same platform at Heathrow Airport.

And they both come in here to Paddington Station in central London Heathrow connect is by far your best way to get it in town god damn it it’s the same situation with Gatwick Airport except without the tube connection there’s an express train service. And irregular pincers same situation I’ll void the Express it’s only a few minutes faster.
