Likuliku Lagoon, FIJI
Ten minutes by helicopter or seaplane from Nadi International Airport, this Fijian haven is special in so many ways. First of all, it’s 100% owned and run by a Fijian family. Second, it’s one of only three adults-only luxury resorts in the country. Third, it’s Fiji’s first and only resort with authentic over-water bures (villas).

Perched in a pristine lagoon, there are only 10 of them, fitted out in rich woods, the thatched roofs contrasting beautifully with the glittering natural aquarium below. Flaming torches, flower-laden cocktails (try the Dodomo which translates as ‘love’) and yellow fin tuna sashimi are just a few of the treats in store for couples hitting these far-flung shores.
For those who prefer to get out and about, there’s snorkelling, paddle-boarding, bush walks and local grottoes to explore. What we love most is the sheer exotic atmosphere of Fiji – oh, and also the hotel’s golden Labrador, Coco.
Seven nights full board in a Garden Beachfront Bure from £3,850 per person, including return international flights and seaplane transfers. Honeymooners will also receive a selection of honeymoon surprises.
